What a visitor should see in Cape Town South Africa It is a land of magnificent scenery, breathtakingly beautiful mountains from the ever present in the background, majestic Table Mountain to the mountainous countryside surrounding beautiful river valleys with the many dams where these mountains reflect to form picture postcard perfect landscapes. The beaches are pristine white sand with the incredible backdrop of mountain and the gardens are as vibrant as the culture, bright, colourful and many plants are unique to this area, all flourish here in the warm summer climate. The shopping, sport and road system is the best in the world. Cape Town, considered, one of the most beautiful areas in Africa has a fascinating character and cultural mix of Indonesian, French, Dutch, British, German settlers, the African Khoisan (Bushman & Hottentot) local tribes and the northern Bantu tribes. Tour guides speak English, German and French as well as other foreign languages and can help with Cape Town accommodation suggestions. This is a wonderful place to consider for a perfect vacation. If you only have a short time available, to explore the area, consider a scenic flight. If you have more time and the weather permits, take a trip to the top of Table Mountain. The mountain can be climbed, on foot, on safe paths, or by cable car for the less adventurous - either route is equally memorable. This country is unique in its natural beauty and Table Mountain has to be seen, from every possible vantage point, as it surely is a natural wonder of the world. The currency is the Rand and it can stretch, as a lot of the beauty of this area, is free for the gazing. While there are many up market areas, Cape Town attracts a diverse range of tourists from around the world to stay in the hotels in Cape Town and many enjoy the exclusive shopping offered in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront complex, or the more colourful market of Greemarket Square. There are many free or low cost ways to be entertained in this city with the Table Mountain backdrop. If you are entering South Africa, at Port Elizabeth, or touring there, you will find are some excellent Port Elizabeth hotels. Port Elizabeth is a good two day journey from Cape Town. I would like to thank, fellow writer, Carol Willis, a proud South African resident, for assisting me to provide this information about what a visitor should see in Cape Town South Africa. Here is a recent article by Carol Willis, 'What the Super14 final meant to me and my country' . This shows more of the beauty of many cultures interacting together to create a beautiful country, that is perfect for a traveler to visit, than any travel brochure could convey. Thank you Carol J. Your shared insight into your country has added a lot to my attempt to show the beauty of Cape Town, South Africa. Blog tags:- South Africa ; Travel ; Hotels ; Cape Town ; Port Elizabeth |
