In conjunction to the farmers market, the local traders will have street stalls. The local Chemist usually has $1. Specials bins where I have found bargains like a $10. Value first aid kit and things I hope not to need, like hemorrhoid treatment. It is sure worth looking for the bargains.

Last year we bought enough fruit to fill two crisper dishes in the fridge for only $5. and I just took out what I needs a day in advance and it lasted me for three weeks.
