Reg and I love both Litchfield National park and Kakadu.  If you plan to visit either keep in  mind that to appreciate Kakadau properly and not be one of the tourists who come out saying "much adoo about Kakadau," you must be prepared to get out of the car and bush walk and rock scramble. Oh and take lots of insect repellent.
